Program Details:

Northwest Safety Town is a 1-week summer program that introduces safety awareness to incoming kindergartners in a fun, interactive, miniature-town environment. Each day consists of visits from community professionals like police and firemen, group safety lessons, songs and poems, driving pedal cars in the “town”, and other hands-on experiences to reinforce safety concepts.

ALL SAFETY TOWN PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ENTERING KINDERGARTEN IN THE NORTHWEST SCHOOL DISTRICT.

2026 Safety Town Dates and Location

  • August 3-August 7, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:30 at the Primary School.
  • Safety Town Graduation will be Friday, August 7 at 7:00 (you will drop your child off at the normal time and come back at 7:00 for the graduation celebration).

2026 Safety Town Registration Information

  • Safety Town is sponsored by Vision 317 and hosted by Northwest Local Schools and supported by local businesses as well as Canal Fulton Police and Fire Departments.
  • At this time registration is limited to students of Northwest Local School District only.
  • There is a $40.00 fee, payable via Venmo @Vision317, or checks can be mailed to Vision 317, PO Box 644, Canal Fulton, OH 44614 (please note your child's name with payment). No refunds will be issued after July 16th . If the fee creates a financial hardship, please contact: Molly Lazarus, 330-807-7826.
  • All registration forms, emergency medical forms and fees must be paid/submitted by July 20, 2026. Registration will be capped at 100 students. Limited spaces MAY be available after July 20 on a first come, first serve basis. No same day registrations will be accepted.
  • Your registration is NOT complete until all forms are completed and payment is received.
